Their journey commenced at Sunset Middle School, where a shared interest in robotics laid the foundation for a lasting partnership. Transitioning from selling tomatoes door-to-door, the duo embraced a new challenge last summer by diving into the world of window washing. Armed with a kit ordered from Amazon, they quickly found success, prompting the creation of Sunburst Window Washing.

“We really wanted to make money of our own,” said Weise. “So, we ordered a window washing kit off of Amazon and got started on our business last summer. We went to a couple of houses, and we got some major success early on.”

Today, the business has grown to employ 10 high school students, all registered as subcontractors, operating as a fully insured LLC. With a client base numbering in the hundreds, Sunburst Window Washing has become a local success story, serving approximately 20 to 30 clients in a single month.

What sets this venture apart is not just its commitment to delivering quality service but also its dedication to fostering entrepreneurship among peers. Weise shared, “All of our employees are high school students, and we’ve helped them start their own businesses as well. We guided them in launching a video-editing and drone photography business.”

Specializing in interior window cleaning for businesses, Sunburst Window Washing has future plans to expand its services to residential clients. The pricing structure is flexible, based on the building’s size, with an additional $50 flat fee for screens.
